Senior Geography Trip

AHS senior geographers enjoyed a day at the beach in Appin last week where they were investigating coastal processes of erosion and transportation. They were also able to observe the effects of isostatic change by studying the evidence that Port Appin is built on a raised beach.

AHS geography department would like to thank Visit Scotland’s Strontian Office for their generous donation of a class set of the SNH publication: Scotland – A Landscape Fashioned By Geology. It will be very useful, particularly for pupils’ research for their assignments in the new senior courses.
