AHS Celebrates 10 years

Ardnamurchan High School’s 10-year open day under the banner of ‘Ardnamurchan High School and the Sunart Centre, Ten Years Together- Àrd Sgoil Aird Nam Murchan agus Àrainn Shuaineirt, Deich Bliadhna Còmhla’ got off to a rousing start on Saturday to the sound of Donald MacAulay on the pipes.  A huge range of activities, competitions, stalls, displays and entertainments kept everyone busy during a hugely enjoyable afternoon at  which the rain completely failed to dampen spirits. Even the police dogs were undeterred by the rain as the crowds gathered for their display in mid-afternoon.

The event marked the end of Ardnamurchan High School’s 10th year and we would like to thank everyone, original campaigners, parents, pupils, staff and the army of organisers and supporters who helped or just came to enjoy our day of celebration.  Future events through the summer and into September will continue under the 10-year banner of Ardnamurchan High School and the Sunart Centre, Ten Years Together- Àrd Sgoil Aird Nam Murchan agus Àrainn Shuaineirt, Deich Bliadhna Còmhla’ Special thanks to the many private individuals,  businesses and organisations who donated so generously.

The day blended into hugely enjoyable family Buffet  and evening Ceilidh provided by the Robert Nairn Dance Band at which many parents expressed their appreciation of an event at which all ages were welcome from toddlers to the more mature in years!
