The DYW West Highland programme is regionally hosted by Lochaber Chamber of Commerce, and forms part of the Scottish Government youth employment strategy to better prepare young people for the world of work.

As part of their immediate solution during COVID-19 will be to provide a series of employer-led online events to showcase the opportunities that are currently available across the programmes geographical reach.

This upcoming event below is aimed at school-leavers but also open to all young people out of school up to the age of 28 years old, those who may have been made redundant, are unemployed, or simply looking for a career opportunity or change. Teachers, parents, and carers are also welcomed to join and learn about the opportunities available. Mowi alone has over 80 different career roles, including roles in planning, procurement, logistics, finance, marketing, Human Resources, science, marine and engineering – the list goes on. Aquaculture is a growth industry sector with a huge variety of opportunities.

Mowi Event - Will Salmon find me a Career

This event will offer an interactive online discussion with a range of Mowi staff who will speak from the heart to provide valuable insights into their aquaculture career to inspire potential future colleagues.
